Red Serpent is a film-performance born from the act of weaving, an embodied, temporal, and symbolic gesture. A serpent is slowly formed, handmade by me from red cotton thread, activating a field where body, matter, and image intertwine.

The serpent, an ancestral figure of transformation, fertility, cyclical time, and regeneration, emerges as an extension of the weaving body. Red thread becomes skin. Red like blood, the regenerating rhythm, bearer of memories inscribed in the flesh. The body as interface.

The film opens a ritual space in which body and serpent continuously affect one another. A body that weaves the serpent, and in doing so, is itself woven, caught in a shared process of becoming.

Serpente Vermelha é um filme-performance que nasce do ato de tecer, um gesto encarnado, temporal e simbólico. Uma serpente se forma lentamente, feita à mão por mim a partir de fio de algodão vermelho, ativando um campo onde corpo, matéria e imagem se entrelaçam.

A serpente, figura ancestral de transformação, fertilidade, tempo cíclico e regeneração, emerge como extensão do corpo que tece. O fio vermelho torna-se pele. Vermelho como o sangue, o ritmo renegerador, portador de memórias inscritas na carne. O corpo enquanto interface. 

O filme abre um espaço ritual no qual corpo e serpente se afetam continuamente. Um corpo que tece a serpente e, ao fazê-lo, é também tecido por ela, envolvidos em um processo compartilhado de fluxo, de devir.
