Peça sonora que traz a o canto de um rio, como que o rio com sua voz, contando sua história.
Com essa peça quero ativar o sentido da natureza e seus rios enquanto seres vivos com suas histórias próprias.
/A sound piece that brings a singing of a river, as if it is the river itself with it's voice, telling a story.
With this piece I want to activate the sense of nature and its rivers as living beings with their own story.
Cântico do rio faz parte de uma série de composições as quais venho gravando ao longo dos últimos 10 anos. São cânticos que emergem a partir do que chamo de Corpórea-Sônica - Paisagem Corporal Sonora - que são os sons que um corpo mediante sua territorialidade e ancestralidade se torna passível de modular e reverberar numa relação com outros corpos: humanos, animais, plantas, terra, território. E que emergem também da minha relação com a cosmologia da Jurema, na qual sou iniciada.
Essas composições são dispositivos, ativações do conceito que chamei de Linhas de transbordamento.
/ Singing of the river is part of a series of compositions that I have been recording over the last 10 years. They are songs that emerge from what I call Corporeal-Sonic - Corporal Sonicscapes - which are the sounds that a body, through its territoriality and ancestry, becomes capable of modulating and reverberating in a relationship with other bodies: humans, animals, plants, land , territory. And that also emerge from my relationship with Jurema's cosmology, in which I am initiated.
* Jurema: ancestral metaphysical practice of indigenous peoples in the Northeast of Brazil, since before the European invasion and colonization. In this region, the culture that is called Jurema-Catimbó, that mixes the Jurema's tradition with the African Yorubá and Bantu cosmologies, is very present, and denotes the meaning of Jurema today.
